Costco has announced changes to its operating hours and benefits specifically for its Executive Members, starting June 30. In a June 11 email to members, the retailer stated that Executive Members will be granted early access to its warehouses, with stores opening at 9 a.m.—an hour earlier than for other membership levels. This exclusive access will be available Monday through Friday from 9 to 10 a.m., on Saturday from 9 to 9:30 a.m., and on Sunday from 9 to 10 a.m.
In addition to early shopping hours, Costco will extend its Saturday operating hours for all members. Starting July 5, warehouses will close at 7 p.m. on Saturdays, one hour later than the previous schedule. This change aims to give shoppers more flexibility and time over the weekend, potentially easing crowding and improving the overall shopping experience for all membership levels.

Expanded Benefits and Monthly Credits Enhance Value of Costco’s Executive Membership Tier
Alongside the updated hours, Costco has introduced new perks for its $130 Executive Membership tier. Executive Members already receive the standard Gold Star membership benefits, such as access to Costco warehouses and fuel stations, as well as a free household card. They also continue to enjoy an annual 2% reward on qualified purchases and discounts on select Costco services.
A notable addition to the Executive Member benefits is a new monthly credit incentive. Costco announced that members will now receive a \$10 credit each month for any order of \$150 or more placed through its “Same-Day” delivery service or via Instacart. This move enhances the value of Executive Membership by offering increased convenience and savings, especially for members who utilize delivery options.
