What is Castlevania?

Castlevania is an American animated series streaming on Netflix that is based on the video game of the same name by Konami. It is created by Warren Ellis, and the existing seasons have been directed by Sam Deats, Adam Deats, and Spencer Wan. The cast consists of some known voices such as Richard Armitage, James Callis, Graham McTavish, Alejandra Reynoso, Tony Amendola, Matt Frewer, etc.

The plot deals with Count Dracula and his plan to make the people of Wallachia pay for his wife’s death after she is burned at stake due to false accusations of witchcraft. To make this plan a success, he creates an army of monsters and demons to wreak havoc in the region, making the lives of the inhabitants a living hell. To defeat Dracula and save the people of Wallachia, an outcast monster hunter named Trevor Belmont seeks the help of magician Sypha Belnades and Dracula’s son Alucard – creating a team that would fight him and his forces throughout the series.

The show made its debut on July 7th, 2017, and the third season aired on March 5th, 2020.

Castlevania: makers drop sneak peek

Assuming that Count Dracula really is dead, it would be interesting to see where the story heads from here on. Of course, at this point, we also have to take into consideration that the video game has seen Dracula die multiple times only to be resurrected later on. The story could take multiple directions, and fans cannot wait to see what the makers have done with the series this time around. With most of the cast and characters returning in season 4, the viewers are excited to see their favorite demon hunters back at it again. Would the makers drop other clues to keep us on our toes? We will have to wait and see!
