In the long list of series to premiere in 2021, we have the much-loved Snowfall. The series, which initially aired for the very first time in 2017, will release season 4 next year, after a postponement due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Snowfall is a story that revolves around multiple characters whose lives and actions end up, ultimately typing them all up together. Based on the US’s first cocaine problem in the 1980s, the series showcases drug cartels and scenes related to them in an entertaining yet raw and real manner. The main cast comprising of stars like Damson Idris, Carter Hudson, Emily Rios, and Angela Lewis is set to return with Snowfall 4. Popular amongst fans for their powerful performance, the world is looking forward to watching them on screens soon. Although there is no official release date set for the new season, we can fairly assume that it will arrive sometime in early to mid-2021.
Season 4 is likely to follow Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), much like the previous seasons. By the end of Season 3 of the series, we saw Franklin’s cartel go downhill. Taking this into account, fans suspect that Snowfall 4 will see him try to work around this development and build his company back from the ashes. Other than this, it would also potentially follow plotlines relating to other characters in the series.
The FX series that can be streamed on Hotstar has received a predominantly positive response from fans over the years. Over the last three seasons, the show has managed to garner a very loyal and diverse fanbase. Belonging to the crime genre, we would expect the audience to come from groups that predominantly enjoy only one type of entertainment. With Snowfall, this is not the case. Of course, this show’s emotional and aesthetic intensity is not everyone’s cup of tea, but it sure does attract a huge crowd of people who crave this sort of work.
Created by John Singleton, Dave Andron, and Eric Amadio, the series, the storyline, and the actors managed to steal hearts right from the very beginning. The show has been consistently doing well through all three seasons, and the makers are set on making sure that it keeps up its winning streak through season 4 too. The inherent realness of the series is something to applaud since there aren’t many creators in today’s environment that take up a tale such as this – that hits not only hard but also hits close to home – and mold it into a piece that so artistically communicates all the sentiments that it is meant to communicate.
Whatever the new season’s plotline is, we can say that it would be one that continues to feature this impactful performance and storyline that we have all grown accustomed to. We can say this with a strong conviction because it would not make sense on the makers’ part to do otherwise. Bringing a show back to the audience takes so much more than sheer thought and deliberation, and given Snowfall’s record, we just know that they understand the nuance of making a hit TV series four times over. As we wait for Franklin to return to the screens, we can relax with this knowledge.
