The netizens are not happy with the decision of Vijay Sethupathi to portray Muttiah Muralitharan onscreen. They believe that Sri Lankans have oppressed the majority of Tamilians, and he is from that country. It will be disrespectful to all the Tamil community people if he plays the role.

The movie’s title has been decided from the 800 wickets that the cricketer got in his career to embrace his excellent work. MS Sripathy will be the director of the movie. And the shooting is said to start in early 2021. And will be shot in different countries like UK, Australia, Sri Lanka, India, and many more countries.
